Glad Tidyings

Manager John Hughes received early Christmas cheer with news that Dom Thomas’ surgery on Monday of this week appears to have been a great success. He told the website:-
“Dom had his op, the physio says it will take roughly six weeks but Dom is already telling him three to four. He is positive and he just needs to rest up for the next few days before we start working him again.”
Dom Thomas was included in the Pars squad for every one of their first 21 matches of this season, he made 14 starts and six appearances as a substitute before meniscus damage kept him out of the matches in December. The gaffer explained how the operation had tidied up his player’s injury:-
“We have missed him but even after the scan when the surgeon went in it was a little bit worse that what we thought. It was more of a horseshoe tear which made it a little bit more complicated. He needed to get the operation and we wish him a speedy recovery.
“Although he will be on crutches I am sure that the physio will be telling him to calm down. He is at every game. He wants the boys to do well and we wish him a speedy recovery and it is important that he rehabs well.
“Hopefully we can keep picking up results and doing well so that by the time he comes back it is in to a winning team.”
