The penultimate home reserve game of the season saw 11th placed Dunfermline play 15th placed Hamilton Academical. Coach Greg Shields fielded a young team which included Callum Smith and Aidan Connolly. Cammy Gill got a game between the sticks against a Hamilton team that included some well known names like Dougie Imrie, James Keatings and Tommy Taiwo.
It was a beautiful sunny day in Kelty as the home side kicked off. In the early exchanges there was not much between the teams but gradually the visitors started to become a greater threat.
Hamilton forced a couple of corners in 17th minute, the first off Josh Robertson and the second when a Marios Ogkmpoe header deflected off Stuart Morrison for another. Gill punched clear and Lewis Smith fired a shot wide right of goal. At the other end a useful Robertson cross was headed clear and then Allan fired in a shot that Hamilton keeper Ryan Fulton punched clear.
When Gregor Jordan fouled Imrie in the box Accies were awarded a 26th minute penalty that fortunately Gill saved. The visitors however, were to find the net three times in the next 16 minutes.
First goal was scored by PENNY and then OGKMPOE hit the crossbar before converting with a header from a corner on the half hour.
A Keatings ball into the Pars box was cleared out by Swanson and the 27 year old striker had an off target effort before his free kick from 25 yards out was sent wide right of Gill`s goal.
Getting on the end of a Taiwo ball in from the right, IMRIE added a third goal two minutes from the break demonstrating the visitors good use of the experience in their side.

Lucas Berry replaced Aidan Connolly for the second half but it got off to the worst possible start when PENNY scored his second of the game heading home from a McCann cross from the left. 49 minutes and 0-4.
Penny then came close with another attempt but this time it cleared Gill`s bar. The Pars keeper prevent further goals parrying away a Winter shot in 70 minutes, being out fast to deny Slaven and then pulling off a great save to touch another Penny effort on to his crossbar.
It had been a game of men against boys one which coach Greg Shields said was a great experience for his young players.
