DUNDEE UNITED RESERVES 2 DUNFERMLINE RESERVES 2
Dunfermline Reserves travel to St Andrews to face their Dundee United counterparts. The Pars are one point above United in the Reserve League but ninth placed Pars have played one match more.
The visitors got off to a great start being awarded a fifth minute penalty when Lewis Sawers was brought down in the penalty box and referee Greg Soutar pointed to the spot. Callum SMITH sent the penalty in off the crossbar in the top right corner. 0-1
Chances were created at both ends. Jack Honeyman cleared a high ball in from Michael McArthur and then a shot was fired over Craig Burt`s goal. Brandon Luke was off target for the Pars before Ross Graham headed over at a 13th minute United corner.
Two minutes later a Logan Chalmers cross was blocked by Gregor Jordan and cleared by Stuart Morrison. At the midpoint of the first half Burt had to pull off a great block to deny Louis Appere and as United turned up the heat Jordan cut out a Banks cross.
On the half hour Burt again to the rescue smothering the ball and next his defence blocked an attempt from Chalmers. The United equaliser came in 33 minutes after McArthur sent the ball in from the right for GLASS to score. 1-1
There was little to change the scoreline before the break, Dunfermline`s best chance coming after Luke picked out Smith for a low cross in but Sawers attempt was cleared. It had been a pretty even game and a draw at half time was about right.

Callum Smith was withdrawn at half time as was United`s Matty Smith possibly since both would be involved in the Championship between the clubs the following evening.
United had the early chances in the second half, sub Adam Hutchison heading over the bar from a Banks corner and Chalmers sending his effort over the bar. Luke had made keeper Currid hold an effort before on the hour the Pars regained the lead. A great pass from Luke picked out CROSBIE who found the net from the edge of the penalty box. 1-2
Burt had to be lively just a minute later to retain the lead with a great save to deny Chalmers. Dunfermline forced a free kick and two corner kicks on 70 minutes. Jordan`s header was deflected behind at the first and after great work from Sawers, Luke and Crosbie the United keeper saved.
In 73 minutes United were awarded a penalty and GLASS equalised from the spot. 2-2
A dangerous ball across the Pars goal evaded everyone then when a United corner from the left was cleared out, Inglis fired a shot well over Burt`s goal. As time ran out a glass sent a free kick over the crossbar and the Fifers survived a late threat from a corner.
It was a hard fought game with a young team, but another point in the bag.
