Jim Jefferies claims that the job he has at Dunfermline Athletic is the toughest he has held in football:-

"I have been at clubs where administration has been mooted a few times but it never ever came to this stage. It has not been nice, and I would like to go on record saying that I am absolutely over the moon that those released have all got fixed up quickly. They were good players, what they have been through wasn't their fault.

"Two of them have got Premier League clubs. Alright it might only be until the end of the season but it might be because that's the way they wanted it. Partick Thistle will need players like Andy Dowie and Jordan McMillan if they can get promoted. One or two Premier clubs will be after Jordan. Andy Barrowman got fixed up with Dundee and Joe went along the road to Raith Rovers.

"It is the hardest time I have known but it would be silly to go away and let down the young players that I brought into the Club. They depend on your experience to get them through this. Hopefully we can."

Seven of the Under 20s finished the game at Livingston and the Manager knows that he will need to rely on them heavily for the rest of the season.

"They showed that they are capable of playing well and they will be an unknown quantity to a lot of teams. That is helpful but at the same time it will be a tough, tough learning curve for them between now and the end of the season. Hopefully some of them will come out of it all the better for it.

"Fans definitely rally players; they have a dual purpose to get behind the young boys to see if they can help the Club through until the end of the season and also to make sure on the money side that these boys have a club to play for next season."
