The Pars need you more that ever

Pars United was formed to create a unified strategy towards saving Dunfermline Athletic Football Club, which now provides an inclusive solution for all Pars fans to rally round.

The future of our proud club is at stake here, so we need everyone to play their part.

Our Football Club has an iconic place at the heart of our community. We would like to appeal to all Pars Supporters and the wider community of West Fife, to help to save Dunfermline Athletic by attending this Saturday's game against Hamilton Academical. We need a bumper crowd at East End Park raising the roof, to cheer on Jim Jefferies young team. Please can we urge every Pars fan to attend the game this coming Saturday and encourage as many friends and family along with them.

With times being hard for everyone with money so tight, we recognise that it is difficult for many fans, but anything our loyal fans and the wider Dunfermline District can do to assist the club at this time is absolutely vital. Our last three home games will be highly significant on the field, but could also ultimately decide the fate of our cherished club, if we cannot reach out to the wider Pars community and encourage a large attendance to East End Park. The matches against Hamilton Academical this Saturday (6 April), Cowdenbeath on 20 April and Airdrie United on 4 May, are arguably the three most important games in the club's history.

There are third and fourth generations of West Fife families fondly remembering their own cherished memories of watching the Pars???.whether it is parading the Scottish Cups at the City Chambers; the European nights under the floodlights at East End Park; the many promotion seasons; the two epic victories at Tannadice when we had been written off by everyone except our massive travelling support; or a specific victory over one of our fierce local rivals or the Old Firm. These memories will live with us for ever.

For these very reasons, we cannot let "our community football team" die. It means too much to too many people. Although the last few months have been extremely difficult, we must strive to ask all Pars supporters across the globe to look forward, not back, and to join together with us to create a viable and inclusive future for our football team.

With the wider Pars community pulling together, our football team can continue to be a force to be reckoned with in Scottish Football, but we need everyone pulling in the same direction to achieve this during these challenging times.

To be successful, galvanising our support is crucial so that future generations of West Fifers can continue to form their own fond memories of following the Pars.

Pars United are determined to face the challenge which now faces our club head on, and work tirelessly on longer term financial initiatives designed to support the Club, and ultimately buy the club. However, to assist with the Club's short term cash flow we NEED to attract the support of our loyal fans.

East End Park

Bryan Jackson, the Club's administrator has confirmed that Season Tickets are valid for the last three home games, and all pre-paid hospitality will be honoured. However, to raise valuable cash for the club at this time, could we ask for supporters, where possible, to consider donating money to help "Save The Pars" by taking the following action on Saturday:

? Season Ticket Holders to donate the cash equivalent of their normal admission price to the special "Save The Pars Season Ticket Donation Points" which will be clearly identified outside the East End of the Main Stand, and opposite the Home Ticket Office at the corner of the Norrie McCathie and Main Stand.
? A number of volunteers will be carrying out "Save The Pars" bucket collections both outwith and within the stadium, and would urge all Pars fans to "dig deep".
? "Save the Pars" envelopes for donations will be left at every place setting in corporate hospitality, and also within the main lounges and again would urge all attendees to donate any cash that they can.

All of the cash collected from the above initiatives can be classed as donations and are therefore not subject to VAT, which has been agreed in advance with the club's administrator.

Together we are stronger, and stand a far better chance of saving Dunfermline Athletic Football Club, so many thanks in advance for any financial support you can provide at this time.

Come on Ye Pars!!
