"We are all speaking with one voice, we have to save the Pars first before we can start talking about what the future Pars looks like ...

BOB GARMORY & JIM LEISHMAN

Another Press Conference was held at East End Park on Tuesday to announce the formation of Pars United. This group has brought together various interested fans groups to form a united front in the battle to keep the Club alive. Bob Garmory, spokesperson for the group said the focus is now on "Save the Pars" and should they get through that a "Buy the Pars" focus.

"We are all speaking with one voice, we have to save the Pars first before we can start talking about what the future Pars looks like. The bigger issues are not forgotten about, they are simply park at the moment.

"The Administrator has estimated that he needs £100,000 at his disposal to see him through until the end of the season. That money has been pledged by Dunfermline supporters, businessmen, Pars fans local and international have all come together to put the money in to ensure that Bryan Jackson and his team from PKF have the facilities to manage us through to the end of the season.

""We have a major shareholder at the Club who is still in discussions with Bryan Jackson of PKF about how best to extricate himself from the situation. That is underway as we speak.

"We do not want to contemplate the Club going into liquidation. We have a truly good opportunity with Bryan Jackson and his team off pulling us out of administration."

The formation of Pars United increases that opportunity since the similarities were always much greater than the differences, Bob continued:-

"Everybody wanted to talk about the differences and really when we all sat in the same room we realised that we are all here first and foremost for Dunfermline Athletic Football Club. After that the rest of it just fell into place.

"How do we want the Club to be run in the future? We don't want one group or one individual to own a majority share at the Club."

"Save the Pars" needs a stimulus on Saturday when Hamilton Accies are the visitors, a minimum of 5000 people through the gate has to be the target. Jim Leishman stressed "this is the game is the start of the revival for us. We need you to come out on Saturday to support the Club"

Leish is sure that the Dunfermline Athletic fans now fully realise the severity of the situation and Bob Garmory claimed that there are a lot of Pars fans out there who want to come back and be part of it:-

"Maybe now they understand that we are on a road that they might want to join us on the journey. We have a really young and talented football team out there. They are going to fight for every ball as they did against Livingston last week and we have a great Manager - if anybody is going to bring on young talent it is going to be Jim Jefferies. These are all parts of the story and we belief that we can do it."
