Stephen Husband reaction

"It is really good news for the club and I am sure that the fans will be delighted."

Stephen Husband claims that the squad can settled down now and concentrate on the season ahead.

"We know that everything is in place now and it is what everybody wanted. We did not want administration to go on and on and on. It is really good news for the club and I am sure that the fans will be delighted."

Hopefully this clears the path and extinguishes the bad memories from last season:-

"I think last season, our performances maybe showed otherwise because we tried to get on with it and work hard. Obviously the worse things got the worse our performances got. I think it was always in the back of your mind so to get rid of it all is great.

"We played Cowdenbeath in the Ramsden Cup there with the CVA to look forward to. Now we can kick on, concentrate totally on football and let the people who have obviously been doing such a great job behind the scenes, continue to get that through to run the club in a better way."

Stephen was suspended for the Cowdenbeath match and serves the second of a two match ban for his red card in the play off final in May, when Dunfermline travel to Ochilview Park on Saturday to face East Stirlingshire. Should they be very afraid?

"I am sure the boys will take a lot from their win over Cowdenbeath. They played very well in the second half. I don't think anybody can put us down just because we are a young team. The boys have shown that they can give something back."

Reflecting on the end of the troubles that had seen many of his team mates leave, Stephen expressed his sorrow for the fans who had suffered through it all:-

"They turned up all last season and invested a lot of money into the club. This is the outcome they wanted and deserve. From a players point of view it was horrible to be relegated last season, especially from where we were at Christmas."

As a local Stephen admitted to having mixed views around him:-

"Some of my mates are Cowdenbeath fans, some are Dunfermline fans but everyone was hoping that Dunfermline would survive."
