Pars travel to Stranraer for first league game there since April 1995

Robert Thomson made his Dunfermline debut versus Stranraer

It was April 1995 when Dunfermline Athletic last travelled to Stranraer for a league match and it is 19 meetings back since Stranraer last won against the Pars.  In fact out of 35 fixtures between the two, the Galloway opposition have won just twice but both those wins were at Stair Park. For those preparing to support the Pars on Saturday bear in mind that Kilmarnock is basically only half way there!

Allan Smith scores Pars third

Stranraer have lost four of their opening ten league games but have a good recent record being undefeated in their last five league games. Last Saturday they registered a win over second placed Stenhousemuir and Jim Jefferies will be very aware that the 3-1 win over them at East End Park was only really settled in the final ten minutes. The Pars have failed to win their last two away games, losing at Forfar and drawing at Brechin.
