Celtic Park was no close shave but David Graham wants to cut it against the Dons.

David Graham v Celtic

David Graham joined team mate Craig Easton in growing a moustache in aid of prostrate cancer during the month of November. His tash will last just one more match since next Tuesday marks the end of the month but he is very proud of his growth.

"There's only me and Eastie who has managed to grow one. The rest of the boys are a bit too conscious of what people think of them but it is for a good charity and its all good fun, Fortunately I have been able to grow quite a decent one so it is not too bad."

The man with the mouser was unaware that he was making his 100 appearance for Dunfermline in the 2-1 defeat at Celtic Park. That was little consolation to the Pars midfielder who claimed a better result would have given him something to celebrate.

"Early doors we shot ourselves in the foot by giving them two goals and then the fans were thinking 'oh here we go' but we dug in. You just have to come here, dig in and keep yourself in the game. We managed to do that but in the second half although they had us under the cosh right away when they got a penalty. Thankfully they missed it and we started to come into the game a wee bit more. We got the goal and maybe if we had ten minutes more you never know what might have happened."

David supplied the pass for Andy Barrowman to stick past Fraser Forster and he claims he fed the ball on fast because his legs were beginning to give up on him:-

"I just got rid of it to Barra' and it was a great finish from him at a tight angle. They were getting nervous and the fans were on their back. It is just one of those things, we never had enough time and it just ran out. They got the three points."

Reflecting on what had happened at Celtic Park, David was able to draw some similarities with the previous game at St Mirren where Dunfermline again lost 2-1 but had staged a comeback in the second half, scored a goal and then pressed their opponents for an equaliser:-

"We need to start games like we did in the second half. We can't turn up in the second half after giving teams two goals of a start and then decide to play. We have to be like that from the word go and stop shooting ourselves in the foot.

"If we could put our finger on it we would start like that every week. From now on we have got to start like that in the games that are going to keep us in this league. Obviously it would have been good to have come here and have got a result but it is not beating Celtic that is going to keep us in the league. There are other teams who we have to get results against and that starts on Saturday.

"Aberdeen is a massive game. The last time when we played them up there we never turned up at all. There was no second half rejuvenation up there; we weren't at the races at all for the whole game. We have to make up for that on Saturday.

DAVID GRAHAM v CELTIC

"We never gave them a game up there. Its a team that's down the bottom of the league with us so three points are crucial. If we can start the game the way we did against Celtic then we will be in with a chance to win the game. It is alright saying that, we need to go out and do it."

Here's hoping then that by the time a clean shaven David Graham appears on the pitch that Dunfermline have at least three more SPL points.
