Moore hopes to make amends

Jordan Moore still needs to speak to Jackie McNamara, his boss at Dundee United, but he fully expects him to be content to see him stay with Dunfermline until the end of this season. He told the website:-

"I have not signed anything but that is the plan. If I am playing regular games here then I am sure that he will be happy.

Jordan's contract at Dundee United is up at the end of this season but feels that his ability to have that extended will be enhanced if he can continue to make an impact at Dunfermline:-

"I have had a taste of everything at Dunfermline, starting games, coming on off the bench and playing in the under 20s. I have scored eight goals from nine starts, it is good experience and I am trying to get as much experience as possible.

Jordan Moore v Raith Rovers

"I have learned a lot since I have come here, especially from Craig Dargo. Both Dunfermline and Dundee United have good standards of training but because you are more involved with the first team here it is more about winning, even playing in the 20s here is all about winning."

Jordan is hoping that Monday night's match against Rangers is a happier game for him than the first one at Ibrox in November. That night Jordan was shown a red card as the home side were awarded a 70th minute penalty kick that allowed them to open the scoring.

"Getting sent off ruined the game for the team. We were doing well up until I got sent off so hopefully that doesn't happen again."

Stevie OReilly shows red to Jordan Moore

At the time there was great sympathy for the 19 year old since many considered the decision by referee Stevie O'Reilly to be on the harsh side. Jordan continued:-

"That isn't much good now, they got the penalty and got the win. It was soft but the ref gave it so we can't really complain. Hopefully I can make amends for that penalty and I would love to score.

"We did okay at Ibrox and we'll have a go at them. I don't think that we are a physical team but Rangers experienced three freak injuries that night. Whittle and Little clashed and it broke the Rangers player's cheekbone. There was no intent in there, he didn't mean it. We try and pass the ball; that's our sort of tactics.

"Rangers are a really good team but we think that we can give them a game. We feel that we can give anybody a game and it will be a tough one on Monday. We are hoping to do well, better than last time and do ourselves justice."

The Dunfermline players are all looking forward to the match and are hoping for a big support to cheer them on.

"The atmosphere will be good and we need to try and get as many points as possible."
