Stevie Crawford felt that his team deserved credit for going a goal behind in just the third minute of the match:-

“We were playing at home and we really see at as two points dropped. I didn’t think we actually started the game that well for the first ten minutes. We forced a number of corners in the first half.

“The decision didn’t go for us against Inverness but Euan Murray’s header was one of those decisions that you sometimes hope go your way. The boys kept at it and we just said at half way that we felt that we needed to try and bring our wide players more into the game against their diamond. That is where we could cause them problems.

“Ethan has done well being direct in the box to win the penalty. Jonathan stepped up to get his second goal for us.”

Asked about the controversial movement in the first half where the ball appeared to cross the line when Euan Murray met a Dom Thomas corner., SC said:-

“Decisions like that at the time are very difficult to give. Sometimes they go for you sometimes they go against you. I think we were a little bit more concerned about the way we started the game today. We had a day less recovery from the Arbroath game which can take it’s toll. We probably ran out of steam a little towards the end of the game.

“We had chances to win the game. Big Lewis McCann was really really unfortunate when through on goal. He couldn’t have done anything more. The ball came off the goalkeeper and just agonisingly goes past the post.

“As I say we were playing at home and we see it as two points dropped today. There were four draws today and Alloa beat Inverness. We will look forward you the Partick game on Tuesday night and take it from there.

“Queen of the South have come here and done well today. I went through and watched them on Tuesday night against Partick Thistle. They worked extremely hard and every game is competitive. We have got to try and focus on ourselves.

“I felt that we got plenty crosses in the game, looking back 18 or 19 crosses in the game. Did we put in deliveries that were too similar? Possibly but on that side we were more creative than we were on Wednesday night.

“When you look back on the last three games, Dundee United, Arbroath and then today (Queen of the South). The three of them were different games and we have come through those games undefeated.

“We are trying to educate players as well, there are different things being thrown at us in the last week and we have stood up to everything that has been thrown at us.“

Asked about the effect of the absence of Kevin Nisbet, Stevie replied:-

“I don’t want to put a timescale on it. At the moment we are just having to see where he is at. He has been scanned, we will look at him in the early parts of next week but he will be missing for the Partick Thistle game. We are waiting on some more medical advice to see how soon he will be back for us.”
