Stevie Crawford said that following a run of five defeats it was very pleasing to register a 2-0 win over Dundee:-
"I am on record saying that I firmly believe that there are goals in this team. The real pleasing tonight is that we have come away with a clean sheet. We scored two really well taken goals and possibly should have had more.
"When you are on the back of five defeats it is difficult to know where the next win is coming from. You can get in the habit of losing as you can get in the habit of winning games of football. We saw out the first fifteen minutes when Dundee started the game really well.
"Our shape was good, we had worked on that - Greg, Jason and myself. We had worked on a lot of things, we took back what we had got from the players. Collectively we took a few wrongs and sorted them. It is continuing to work that way and trying to educate the players and give them that platform to go and win games of football."
Having been two up at the break Dunfermline created many more chances in the second half, did the manager feel that they should have found the net a few more times?
"When you are playing against a team with the quality of Dundee and we have scored two very well taken goals, hit the woodwork and Jack Hamilton has pulled off four or five good saves on the night. You have to take a lot of encouragement from that."
Are you worried, given the number of goals he has scored, that Kevin Nisbet might attract interest before the end of the transfer window?
"I have just said speaking to the BBC there that Kevin is deserving of any attention that he may be bringing to himself at the moment. He knows since coming here and collectively as a team - he would be the first to talk about his team mates. He is certainly playing with a lot of confidence and scoring goals. He will attract attention. It is a good problem for us. It is a number of years since Dunfermline last sold a player. If he is going to attract interest from some other teams then I`m sure the chairman would be happy but we won`t be looking to move Kevin on in the January transfer window, he has a big part to play for the rest of season."
Only one point behind fourth placed Dundee, are the play offs still well within the grasp/
"Let`s not get too carried away, I keep saying that and I don`t want to sound boring and repetitive but you can win a couple of games in this league and you can be looking at the play offs. You can then lose a couple of games and then you are looking at relegation.
"All that I will say is that the boys worked extremely hard, they bought into it. Maybe questions were getting asked about how our season was going to go on. To a man they deserve an enormous amount of credit for the way that they performed tonight."
Is it nice to give one back to the fans after a tough run and turning out in their numbers tonight?
"It was and I want to thank the fans because I felt tonight that they didn`t show the frustration and criticism that I have to accept, in any way to the players. That is all that I can ask.
"We said in the summer that we were going to bring players in to learn and develop, hopefully bring attention from other clubs. That is happening and I want to thank the fans. They were terrific and they played their part in the victory as well."
