Manager on Friday
Friday, 6th Nov 2015"We need to win every game whether it is home or away. A draw like last week is not good enough.
Allan Johnston is hoping that his team shows an improvement from last Saturday at Central Park:-
"You expect to win against teams like Cowdenbeath, it is a difficult place to go and when you look at how much the ball was off the park, somebody calculated it at something like 43 minutes including stoppages. That is incredible but we should still have done better and still have won the game. Hopefully there will be a response this week."
The manager is well aware how tricky the Pars have found Peterhead as opponents of late:-
"Rory McAllister has been fantastic this season. He is a real goal threat and is obviously a massive part of their team. We know about their good players and we have to make sure that we stop them.
"They have got good players; I like Riley who plays wide and have strengthened by bringing in Ferry from Dundee. It will be a tough test but at home, with the fans behind us we are a good team.
"We have to get back to what we do well and that is scoring goals. That has been a big part of our play this year. Look at the amount of goals that they have scored, it is incredible. We just have to make sure that we get back to winning ways, creating chances again, get crosses into the box and shots at goal. Last week that is what let us down.
"That game is gone and we just have to concentrate on our next one. It is all about putting a run together between now and the end of the season."
AJ has a full squad to select from with the exception of his two long term injured Williamson and Fordyce but although Josh Falkingham came through an SPFL Development League game on Thursday he may require more match practice before being a serious contender for a starting place:-
"He had to be alright mentally and especially playing on the AstroTurf but he was okay after it. That is a big bonus for us. It is good to have him back and he certainly looked sharp enough. There is good competition for places and the boys know that they need to do well and get results to keep their place in the team.
"We need to win every game whether it is home or away. A draw like last week is not good enough. We have to focus on every game and make sure that we do not get carried away."
