With the January transfer window now firmly shut until the summer, manager Jim McIntyre has managed to bring four new faces to the club: Ian Turner, Mark Kerr, Jordan McMillan and Kyle Hutton. McMillan and Hutton were only confirmed late on Tuesday evening. Manager Jim McIntyre has been saying for some time that he expected most of the transfer dealings to come in the closing hours but wishes the system was different.

Jim says, "I'm delighted that January is finished! It's a system I'm not a fan of and I would much rather we had the old system when you could sign players up until six weeks before the end of the season. It meant you could do your business when you needed to. In saying that I'm delighted we've managed to add who we have in January and I know we're in good shape for the rest of the campaign.

Kyle Hutton arrives at East End Park on loan until the end of the season while Jordan McMillan has signed a permanent contract until the end of May 2013. Both players joined the squad for training on Thursday and speaking with the Dunfermline Media Centre Kyle said:-

"It's great to be here. I trained with the squad for first time today and really enjoyed it; the boys and the gaffer are excellent so I'm looking forward to my time here."

As late as the weekend Kyle didn't expect to be anywhere other than Rangers for the rest of the season. He added:-

 "I asked a few times to go out on loan but the gaffer (at Rangers) said nobody was going out. It was only in the last few days that he changed his mind and as soon as Dunfermline came and asked me to go out on loan I was more than happy to come and help out.  We playing well and I think we just need a wee bit of luck in front of goal.  With me and Jordan coming here we hope we can give the team a boost and hopefully we can keep playing well and get that bit of luck we need to push our way up the table."

Jordan also jumped at the opportunity to come to East End Park and showed his commitment to the club by exactly what he gave up in Glasgow. Jordan said:-

"The chance came up to sign a permanent contract and when it was put in front of me I accepted it and I'm delighted to be here. I knocked a three year deal with Rangers back to come here and play football and help the club pull away from the relegation zone."

Whatever the problems off the park at Ibrox, it is a brave player who knocks back a three year contract with the Glasgow side. Jordan continued:-

"It is a brave decision, but I've put my trust in Jim McIntyre. I'm not heard a bad word about him and he assured me I would come here and play so for me, it's all about following the football rather than the money.  My focus for the next few months is to ensure Dunfermline is safe in the SPL and to do well for Jim McIntyre who has put his faith in me by bringing me to the club.

Manager Jim McIntyre says, "I've got to say a big thank you to the Board who came up with the money that was needed to make these deals happen".

Both players have the opportunity to impress the fans for the first time next Tuesday with the re-arranged fixture against Kilmarnock at East End Park.
