"It was good to get off the mark with Clyde but it was no consolation because we lost the game, so I am disappointed.

Clyde's goalscorer on Saturday, Pat Clarke was full time at Dunfermline Athletic from the start of the 2003-04 season until he left to join Raith Rovers in February 2005. That came at the end of a three month loan period which had seen him play 12 games for Berwick Rangers. It wasn't until he moved to Cowdenbeath for the 2006-07 season that Pat played regularly and in 54 games for the Blue Brazil scored 23 goals.

Pat Clarke whose penalty was his first goal for Clyde since joining at the end of the transfer window in January, felt that it was no consolation to score against his old team:

"It was good to get off the mark with Clyde but it was no consolation because we lost the game, so I am disappointed. We showed a lot more of what we could do in the second half than in the first half and the manager has told us from day one that if you are willing to work hard and work as a team and put yourself about, especially in conditions like that when it is not on to play football at times, then you will get your rewards.  I know if I work hard that I will get my rewards and that is scoring goals."

Asked whether he is particularly fired up playing against Dunfermline, Pat who hails from Edinburgh replied:

"Every game I am fired up, I don't need to play against my old team or anything. It's just a game, just like next week will be a game and I will be just as much fired up. Some people will say that conditions were a factor, it's obviously not ideal but two teams need to play in it. We have no complaints, it's just the weather, you play in everything it doesn't really matter.

"I played with maybe over half of them so I know a few of them and I still keep in contact with big Sean Murdoch. He was on the bench today and I still keep in touch with him regularly.

"Big Craig (McKeown) was at Dunfermline, same as Ian (Campbell), but it was just another game.I don't know if it was in their heads that it was an ex team, but it didn't affect me, I will just play whatever team I need to play against."
