M`Voto Joins The Pars

Dunfermline Athletic are pleased to announce the signing of French defender, Jean-Yves M’Voto Owono.

M’Voto (28) will join the club on a pre-contract from 1 June 2017. Signing a one-year deal after leaving fellow Fifers, Raith Rovers.

Jean-Yves started his career at Paris Saint Germain before joining Sunderland on a three-and-a-half year deal in 2008. After failing to play any first team games for The Black Cats, he joined Southend United and Barnsley on loan before departing for Oldham Athletic in 2010.

Going on to play for Barnsley, Leyton Orient and Polish side Zawisza Bydgoszcz then joining Raith Rovers in July 2016.

M’Voto was recently voted Raith Rovers Supporters Player of the Year, their Management team’s Player of the Year and the Fife Free Press Star Player for season 2016/2017.
