Par Supporters’ Trust Invest a Further £10,000

The Pars Supporters’ Trust handed another cheque on Saturday, this time for £10,000, as their latest contribution to Pars United CIC, the company which oversees Dunfermline Athletic on behalf of the fans. This brings the total invested so far by the PST to an incredible £248,085.

This latest investment represents the annual subscriptions and generous donations from PST members and is over and above other contributions to the club by the PST including paying for the clubs overnight stay in Buckie ahead of the Scottish Cup tie last November and purchasing heart monitoring equipment to help track player fitness throughout the season, not to mention the support they also give to other groups within the Pars family.

Drew Main, PST Chair said “We can’t thank our members enough for their loyalty and generosity. Only by members continuing to pay their annual fees, are we able to make this kind of contribution to PU CIC which, in turn, benefits our football club. But not only that, the PST continues to be supported by fans across all groups in the Pars family at our fund raising events which helps us support the club in a variety of ways as and when required. Add to that the network of volunteers the PST are able to muster to help with numerous tasks around the club and it’s clear to see the important role the PST plays”.

DAFC Chairman Ross McArthur added "on behalf of the Board of DAFC I would like to thank once again the Pars Supporters Trust for the ongoing support of our club, not only in a monetary sense with new share capital or supporting so many activities around our club, but the assistance they and their members provide in terms of volunteering".

The cheque was presented by members of the PST Board at half time on Saturday and was received by some of the Directors of PU CIC.
