Preview Hibernian
Saturday, 25th Feb 2017Ladbrokes Championship: Saturday 25th February 2017, 5.15pm kick off at Easter Road
Dunfermline travel to the capital on Saturday for a 5.15pm kick off against League leaders Hibernian. Coming just three days after a famous cup replay victory over their city rivals, they are still on track to defend the Scottish Cup. The Pars have failed to take any points off Neil Lennon`s side this season but are hoping it will be third time lucky. The Hibs boss was very critical of his side`s performance in last weekend`s Championship match against Raith Rovers so he will be hoping that Wednesday`s performance can be replicated against the Fifers.

Last Easter Road Meeting - 13th August 2017
Hibernian 2 Dunfermlne 1
A corner on the right was headed powerfully on target by Darren McGregor. Cardle cleared off the line but Holt sent the ball back at goal and RICHARDS-EVERTON in an attempt to clear headed the ball into his own net. 1-0
The Dunfermline fans erupted to greet a 57th minute equaliser. It was a great run from Cardle that let him slip the ball into the box for Gavin REILLY to run on to and pick his spot left of the advancing keeper. 1-1
Hibs second goal on 78 minutes was a personal disaster for Fordyce who was perfectly placed in front of goal to clear a cross from the right but he completely missed connection and CUMMINGS has a simple job in sticking the ball in the Fifers net. 2-1
The manner of the defeat was disappointing but on what was a day to judge the Pars prospects against one of the main contenders this performance had plenty of positives for the 1235 travelling Pars supporters.
