Preview Hamilton Accies
Saturday, 11th Feb 2017William Hill Scottish Cup Fifth Round. Only the fourth time the clubs have been drawn together in the competition. There have been four games, one won, two lost and one drawn.
A home draw was certainly all that was wished for and a match against a Premiership club is refreshing for both players and fans.

After heavy overnight frost the pitch required to pass a high noon inspection by referee John Beaton and his assistant. In the absence of both Stephen Jordan and Andy Geggan through injury, Jim Jefferies handed a first team debut to 18 year old Ross Millen. Andy Barrowman was suspended following his late sending off at Firhill in the previous round. Ryan Thomson and John Potter dropped out of the eleven that started against Livingston with Stephen Husband and Callum Morris returning.
Having missed chances in the first half Accies took the goal that they had threatened just six minutes into the second half.. A throw in on the left midway inside the Pars half was fed to Stevie MAY and his shot from 25 yards flew in off the underside of the crossbar.
Ten minutes Hamilton doubled their advantage. The ball was switched around the Pars box until eventually Jon ROUTLEDGE was perfectly placed on the edge of the box to rifle the ball past Gallacher.
No lucrative Quarter Final then for the Fifers who are left to concentrate on their First Division survival where Livingston closed the gap on them with a win at Dumbarton.
