10 Facts About - Callum Morris

1. Callum was born in Newcastle Upon Tyne in 1990.
2. He started his career with boyhood heroes, Newcastle United signing for the Academy but failed to play any first team games.
3. Callum signed for Blyth Spartans upon his release from Newcastle United, playing just 5 matches before joining the Glenn Hoddle Academy in Spain.
4. Callum played for Spanish Fourth Division side Jerez Industrial CF whilst in Spain, before returning to England to play for Hayes and Yeading United and Morpeth Town.
5. Prior to his trial with Dunfermline Athletic in 2012, Callum thought about giving up professional football.
6. Callum scored his first goal in senior football for Dunfermline Athletic on 29th December 2012, sadly, it was in a 4-2 loss to Greenock Morton.
7. In season 2012/2013 Callum was named in the PFA Scotland Team of the Year for the First Divison and also named DAFC Player of the Year.
8. Morris played for Dundee United in the 2013/2014 League Cup Final against Celtic.
9. Although born in England, Morris is of Irish descent and received his first call up to the Northern Ireland squad in 2016, having previously played for the Republic of Ireland under-21’s, where he earned 5 caps.
10. In his first spell with The Pars, Callum shared a flat with teammates Josh Falkingham, Alex Whittle and Faissal El Bakhtaoui.
