Fifers have found their feet but oppo is flying

Callum Fordyce made just ten appearances last season for Dunfermline before a serious injury on the second Saturday in September put him out for the rest of the season.
Now Dycey has started the last three matches and added to the six appearances from earlier in the season, the 24 year old is feeling much better about his football. Speaking to the website Callum claimed:-
"It is good to be back involved, part of the team and the results recently have been quite good. Obviously we only drew with Ayr and it was a game that we could easily have won."
With the suspension of Lee Ashcroft, Callum was brought into the team earlier than anticipated against Hibs at Easter Road and at that point he admits he did not have the best of times. Now however he feels stronger mentally:-
"I re-grouped and did extra off the park that has benefitted me now. Against Hibs I was just delighted to be back on the park. Maybe physically I wasn`t a hundred per cent. I forget myself how long I was actually out for.
"Things happened on and off the park and that happens in football. I went away and worked on my game and mentally.
"I knew in my head that mentally I was tough and to come through that stage again I was delighted."
The player who joined from Livingston for the start of last season praised the help of the Dunfermline development squad in helping him back to match fitness:-
"The twenties have a really good squad and they are a great group of boys. To play next to them was great for myself to organise and command the back line. These are things that I should be doing in my game and I am confident that I can do that.
"We had some great results beating Aberdeen, beating Rangers - it gave me confidence as well as the young boys, that I was getting back to the standards that I know I can play at. They are a great group and they helped me as well."
Callum played against this Saturday`s opponents Greenock Morton in the away meeting on 17th September. That day he was played at right back as Ben Richards-Everton returned and Ryan Williamson dropped out. The result was a 2-1 defeat after Gary Oliver`s opener was cancelled out by a Nicky Clark on the half hour and then Jai Quitongo notched the winner six minutes from full time.
This Saturday is another massive match for the Pars, Callum described this like all the others - a must win game.
"No matter where you are in the table you want to win every game. Saturday was a difficult one to take given the circumstances at the end of the game. But that is football and we move on from it.
"Every game is a big game. We want to win but Morton are flying and it is going to be a tough game. We have good boys and quality in the dressing room capable of winning any game."
Winning became a great habit last season but having won promotion league victories have been restricted to one over Dumbarton and two over St Mirren.
"Last season we started really well and it continued throughout the season. We moved up a league and the Championship is even harder than the Premiership at the moment. Anybody can beat anybody, you do not know what is going to happen.
"We are starting to find our feet now in the league and picking up results. We have not really been outclassed by any other team and hopefully now we will push on up the league."
With Falkirk and Raith coming up over Christmas and New Year Callum is in no doubt how important these big games will be.
"Last year we had Cowdenbeath on New Years Day and it was a massive crowd. Derby games are ones that you want to play in. To have them within a week of each other is a massive occasion.
"Every game you want to go into on a high. A couple of wins would create momentum going into them and we should feel confident that we can do the business."
