Moffat comes up for Ayr

Michael Moffat started the first eight Pars matches of the season but his start against Dundee United on 12th November was his first start since the end of August. Michael was on from the kick off last Saturday at Buckie and he says it is great to back involved again.
"The team has been struggling a bit but we have picked up in our last couple of games. I am hopeful that I can get in the team, get a run and get some points on the board.
"There is nothing worse than training all week and then not being involved at the weekend. It would be a bit easier if the team was winning. You can see the point if they are winning and there is not much you can do if the boys are doing well.
"You want to be out there helping to try and get a result. We have had a couple of wins now so hopefully we can kick on and put a run together.
"We have a big squad, a few injuries just now, but when everybody is back fit there is a lot of competition there. When you get your chance you have to try and do well and stay in the team."
Michael was taken down for the penalty that put Dunfermline 2-1 at Buckie and later created the break that led to the conclusive Paul McMullan fifth goal:-
"I heard the wee man coming up, maybe if it hadn`t been such a tight game I would have tried myself but if I passed he had a guaranteed goal. It was the easiest thing to do and it killed the game off. It may have been the last minute but they were pushing to make it 4-4."
"Buckie played like it was a cup final and with nothing to lose. These are never easy games, we are disappointed to have lost three goals but we scored five and could probably have had a lot more on the day. Scoring the goals builds our confidence."
Two goals in the opening match of the season against Arbroath is the only time that Moffat has been on the scoresheet this season, he continued "when I came on against Dundee United and at St Mirren I hit the post. I went round the keeper that brought me down but hopefully there is a goal coming."
The Moff was signed from Ayr United in May 2014 and he is anticipating a tough game:-
"A win would take us above them, that is a good incentive to claw ourselves back. I now stay in Ayr, that gives me two home games but you always like to see teams that you have played with do well, especially when you know maybe three or four of the boys.
"It was nice to see them go up, but we have a good record against them so we have a good chance on Saturday to pick up a few points."
