Geggs out to rock Dumbarton

Pars skipper Andy Geggan will lead his team out on Saturday at the Cheaper Insurance Direct Stadium against one of his former clubs. For those who don`t recognise the name this is the current name for Dumbarton FC, a club that he made over 150 starts for between 2006 and 2011.
"I don`t live far from Dumbarton and I had good years there. It will be exciting to go back there and hopefully get the result that we need."
Three points is always the aim and Geggs described the frustration of not not winning matches.
"I think the boys are playing half decent football, especially on Saturday when we were much more solid. It is all about results, at the end of the day it is not about performances. Hopefully we can kick on from Saturday."
Andy conceded that it is mistakes that are causing Dunfermline`s downfall.
"I cannot put my finger on it. We all know ourselves that we have a good squad and know that we need to get up that table. We have not been getting the rub of the green."
It all looked on the up when Dunfermline scored the opener last Saturday against Hibs but Andy thought that James Keatings equaliser ten minutes into the second half had a seriously bad impact on the team.
"First half we were so much more organised but as soon as the goal went in it was deflating. Last year when we went a goal down nobody cared, we just just need to get that into our heads and kick on. The sooner we get that the better."
Andy feels that anything other than a win over Dumbarton is unthinkable especially when he looks at the strengths throughout the team:-
"We have an unbelievable squad compared to some squads in this league. It is about being a team, scoring goals on a Saturday and doing the uglier side of the game. This league is very very tight but even if we don`t play well but win 1-0 I would take that all the way to the end of the season. If we can put on a wee run, we will be alright."
