Sean out to stop the soft goals
Friday, 21st Oct 2016"We just need to make sure that we are at it and giving it our all."
Despite playing only a handful of matches for Hibs keeper Sean Murdoch claims that he enjoyed his time there and is looking forward to playing against them in the Championship on Saturday. Having missed out of the first quarter visit to Easter Road through injury, Sean is keen to have a good performance against the league leaders and take three points. Speaking exclusively to this website he described on his wrist now was:-
"It is much better than what it was. It is a lot more manageable and it was the right decision at the time to take the surgeon`s advice. It was the best decision I have probably made in my career. If i had not, I probably would still be struggling. Now I am fully fit, looking to get games in and results for the team."
With results not going Dunfermline`s way the defence and the goalkeeper are always under scrutiny:-
"Last season we had the best defensive record it the UK albeit we are now in a harder division. The goals that we have conceded are not just the defence`s fault.
"The midfield is crucial to the defence. Whoever is in the holding role pulls the strings."
"We have gone through loads and loads of video clips just to rectify it. We are giving soft goals away in my opinion but we are all good players out there, we need to brush up on a few things.
"If we can stop giving away cheap goals we will get up the table. We really need to do that immediately rather than later.
Given easy access from Edinburgh, Sean is guessing that the crowd on Saturday could be a bumper one.
"I would guess 8000 to 10000 there. They will fill their end and, these are the games you want to be involved in. You don`t want to be playing with fifty fans coming to cheer on the opposing team. You want to be there when there are 2500-3000 fans coming to cheer on the opposing team. That can only benefit the game.
"Ever team that comes here knows it is a tough game for them. We just need to make sure that we are at it and giving it our all."
