Partnership with Kelty Hearts Announced
Friday, 14th Oct 2016Dunfermline Athletic are delighted to announce a new and exciting partnership with one of Fife’s emerging community clubs, Kelty Hearts.
The partnership will initially allow the Pars under 20s to play competitive Development matches at Central Park, the home of Kelty Hearts.
Ian Thompson from Kelty Hearts said: “The work gone into Central Park over the last few years is the envy of many junior clubs in Scotland. We have improved our dressing rooms, pavilion, social club, terracing just to name a few. We are a club with big ambitions, and are keen to reach out to the community of Kelty, so bringing a club like Dunfermline Athletic on board can only improve this further.”
“Kelty has always had a large Dunfermline Athletic following, and a few of our supporters also support The Pars. The first DAFC Supporters Club was born in Kelty back in the 1960s. We’re very confident this will be a successful partnership”.
Similar to DAFC, Kelty Hearts have a fairly substantial following on their social media channels so the partnership will also see content shared across both club social networks.
Under 20s coach, John Potter said: “I’m delighted to get this confirmed, it’s been something we have been working towards for about a year now. The facilities in Kelty are tremendous and we have been impressed by the setup there. I’d like to thank Kelty Hearts, Fife Council and the board at the club for backing the partnership.”
The following fixtures are scheduled to be held at Central Park in 2016, entry for all matches is £2.
