2016-2017 Irn-Bru Cup
Queens Park have won seen off Kilmarnock U20 (5-2), Partick Thistle U20 (0-0 and 6-5 on penalties) and Morton (2-0) to reach this stage of the competition. Dunfermline saw off Brechin City 5-1 in their only involvement so far. The home draw against the Spiders was a very welcome one since the last sixteen includes two teams from Wales and two from Northern Ireland whose strengths are relatively unknown.
