Dunfermline Athletic are pleased to bring back the famous club blazer thanks to generosity of Pars fan, Kenny Mitchell.

Kenny, who recently moved back to Dunfermline after working in Afghanistan has kindly agreed to sponsor our first team managements new blazers.

The club blazer was first introduced to the club in 1961 by then manager, Jock Stein in a bid to maximise the team spirit in the squad ahead of the club’s first ever Scottish Cup Final. Thereafter emphasising employees of the club looked as professional as possible when representing Dunfermline Athletic.

Kenny said: “When the club contacted me to sponsor the new blazers it was an honour. I remember the Jim Leishman era in the 80’s and how great the players and management looked in the club blazer whilst representing Dunfermline Athletic. I’m always keen to help sponsoring the football club in any way l can, but this was one l couldn’t miss out on.”

Club Chairman Ross McArthur said: “We’d like to thank Kenny for his kind gesture in sponsoring the first team management’s blazers. Kenny, like many other of our supporters continue the back the football club in many different ways. We are also very thankful to Slaters in Edinburgh for their assistance in providing the new look suits.”
