Robert Stewart
Sunday, 21st Aug 2016Dunfermline Athletic are saddened to hear the death of former player, Robert Stewart.
Born in Airdrie in 1962, Robert started his career with Dunfermline Athletic, signing for the club in 1981. He made 79 appearances, scoring 17 goals before moving to Motherwell in 1984.
Robert was most famously known during his time at the club for his goal at Ibrox when Second Division, Dunfermline came to within nine minutes of one of the great Scottish Cup shocks. However, two late goals saved Rangers blushes.
