Fringe Festival comes to DAFC
Monday, 22nd Aug 2016Dunfermline Athletic were delighted to welcome along 16 refugees from near Bethlehem last week as they popped along for a tour and to meet some of the first team players.
The Dance group are currently performing at the Edinburgh Festival bringing traditional dancing from their homeland ‘Dabka’.
Brian Kelly who is looking after some of the group on their stay said: “We’d like to thank Dunfermline Athletic, the tour and experience was great for everyone. They have really have enjoyed their trip to Scotland and the buzz of Edinburgh festival. Thank you once again to the Football Club for inviting us along and providing such a great afternoon”.
Ross McArthur said: “On behalf of Dunfermline Athletic, we’d like to thank Brian and the group for their visit to East End Park. It was great to chat to them and see the joy on their faces walking on the pitch and meeting some of our players”.
The group will be performing at the Pleasance Courtyard until Friday 26th August between 1.30 – 2.30pm.
