Scott Lochhead signs

Scott Lochhead today signed a deal until January but he is already no stranger to those fans who have watched the Trialist play at Clyde, Civil Service Strollers, Kelty and Crossgates in recent weeks.
The attacking midfielder has been without a club since leaving Dundee United in January and he told this website that was great to get back to some organisation on his life.
"Training every day is good and being at Dunfermline is even better. I am just happy to be here."
Scott signed a two-year deal with United three games into the 2014-15 season. He featured with the Development squad during his two seasons at the club, but while there Scott suffered a few nasty injuries including a broken leg and a knee operation. He was released without making his debut in January 2016. The 19 year old claims that he is feeling good now:-
"It is the best that I have felt for a while and without any aches or pains. I was down training with Kilmarnock in January and I was meant to be signing there but the manager got sacked. That caused a problem but I went down there a couple of months later when the new manager arrived but it didn`t work out."
Brought up in Stepps he was a youth player with Rangers for six years. Scott moved across the Old Firm divide to sign for Celtic as a youth in 2012. He went on to represent the Parkhead club at SPFL Under 20 level before his release in the summer of 2014.
Scott has been training with Dunfermline during pre season and has had time to get to know the Pars U20s squad, he continued:-
"The training has been of a good standard but it has not surprised me because I have played Dunfermline in the past and the players are good.
"What I have enjoyed is the training, it has been really high intensity, you are constantly focused and everything is done professionally. That`s a huge bonus. It is down to me to go and impress, prove my fitness and earn a new contract in January."
Scott joins Evan Horne and Euan Spark as former Dundee United youths now at Dunfermline. "It probably made settling in a bit easier. I know a few of the boys from my time at Rangers as well, so it`s nice to see familiar faces.
"I have found the friendlies good because I have not played football in a long time and from a personal perspective it is good for me to be getting my confidence and game fitness levels back. I am sure the more games I play, I will become more familiar with the boys whoever I am playing with and get back to my best."
Asked what fans should look out from Scott he suggested that being on the ball and trying to be creative is his what he likes best:-
"I would like to create chances for team mates and try and pop up with a few goals. I have not scored any since I have been here and I am surprised about that because I do score a fair few usually. I am sure that they will come and once they come that will get my confidence up.
"It is a team game and the team comes first but it is nice to chip in with a few yourself." Like every youth player his eyes are on the first team squad and he fully understands how the route there goes:-
"The manager has spoken to me and said that it is down to me. I just know that I need to go and do what I`m capable of. Obviously I am a wee bit behind the rest of the boys having been without a club for seven months. It is a long time to be on your own.
"I am just taking it day by day, making sure that I am fit and healthy. Now I can feel myself getting sharper and sharper every day. I feel once I reach what I know I can do I will give myself the best chance I possibly can."
