Week 6 Stadium report
Sunday, 3rd Jul 2016A very noticeable difference can be seen in the main stand. Here the seat washing has past the half way line
With the holiday period now coming up a number of our volunteers have had to pack their bags and depart for sunnier climes and they go with our good wishes hoping they come back refreshed ready for the preseason rush. This has not stopped our other hardy souls from working away and a very noticeable difference can be seen in the main stand. Here the seat washing has past the half way line and as one young fan who came into help found out very quickly it is not a fast operation.
Barrier painting continued as it is a three coat system, it all takes time but has at last been completed. Bob on stairway duty has finished stair three and stair four will be complete this coming week ready for the Hearts visit.
I cannot leave out Tony who is a new recruit this year who has scrubbed and repainted the main stand facia boarding.
Like the Forth Rail bridge where painting never stopped work has started on the Norrie stand in preserving the steel work. The rate we are going it will be finished in 30 years’ time, it is only a small section but a start.
All the paint has been kindly donated by Carron Bathrooms and I thank them for this kind gesture to the club.
Work this week is back to normal Tuesday to Thursday times remain 1000 to 1500 or any time inbetween if you feel like popping in all are welcome. The Lizzie boys are also in one night this week to help painting.
