Geggs says it's good to be back
Thursday, 16th Jun 2016"It will not be like last season when there were more ups than downs but I am sure the gaffer will keep us on our toes."
Pre season has been very hard work so far for Andy Geggan but he admits that it has been good and enjoyable.
"It's good to be back and it is more or less the same as last year. So we know what we are going into but all the boys knew that we had to come back fit and they have done that."
All the Dunfermline players were given a written programme to keep them up to speed during the close season. Andy continued:-
"It was good because it keeps you on your toes, we were all eating properly and it shows because the boys have all come back super fit. I am chuffed for Callum Fordyce and Ryan Williamson because they have come back really fit.
"The big man could not really do anything for a good few months so he is back strong and looks like he is ready to go. Big Ryan had a bit of training before we left but he is getting back to fitness as well - I hate running next to him because he just runs away from you. I am delighted for them."
Andy was complementary about his two new team mates - Lee Ashcroft and Gavin Reilly.
"They are nice guys, very fit and good football players too. I am delighted to see them come in. Nat Wedderburn is due in next week but I feel sorry for him because it is going to be hard after this week.
"It is good that we are playing little games in training but I cannot wait for the games to start because then you know that you have done the hard work. Obviously games are going to be hard; they will be interesting and I am looking forward to it. I am sure that we will be ready and fit enough to compete.
"It is going to be very very hard and there will be ups and downs. It will not be like last season when there were more ups than downs but I am sure the gaffer will keep us on our toes."
