Pars for the Course
Wednesday, 4th May 2016Dunfermline Golf Club once again hosted the popular PST golf day on Friday 29th April.
Teams of 3 golfers were joined by past and present Pars players to see who would come out on top in a Texas scramble format competition. Pars legends such as John Watson, Hamish French and Ian Westwater together with current players Michael Paton and club captain Calum Fordyce took to the fairways in this latest Pars Supporters’ Trust fund raiser for the ultimate benefit of DAFC.
However, as snow fell on the eve of the tournament, it was looking like an alternative date might have to be found. But golfers are hardy souls and with the course declared open and in excellent condition the event went ahead as planned. The weather even improved as the day progressed!
The victors were the team from Purvis Group, ably assisted by former Pars striker David Bingham who even managed a hole-in-one at the par 3, 5th hole.
