Pars pair nominated for PFA Scotland POY

PFA Scotland have announced the nominations for Player of the Year in the Ladbrokes Championship, League 1 and League 2.
The candidates for Ladbrokes League One Player of the Year are:-
Joe Cardle (Dunfermline Athletic)
Faissal El Bakhtaoui (Dunfermline Athletic)
Rory McAllister (Peterhead)
Greig Spence (Cowdenbeath)
Rangers, Hibernian, Dunfermline Athletic and East Fife all have two players on the four-man shortlists, with the winners to be announced on Sunday May 1.
Pars Manager Allan Johnston commented:-
"I am just surprised that there were boys from other teams involved as well because our boys have been amazing. I am sure when it comes to the team of the year, the majority of our team will be in the team. Right from the very first game all the way through the season, the consistency, the quality they displayed showed in the results we had.
The gaffer continued:-
"Both Faiss and Joe Cardle have worked hard for the team. The two of them work incredibly hard and the quality of their goals add to the team.
"Rory McAllister and Greg Spence have scored a lot of goals, they are nominated as well and rightly so."
