Friday, 8th Apr 2016Saturday, 23 April 2016 in Carnegie Conference Centre
The Elizabethan Pars Supporters Club, undoubtedly DAFC's fastest growing
supporters' club with nearly 400 members to date, are hosting their annual Player of the Year 2015/16 event on Saturday, 23 April 2016 in Carnegie Conference Centre.
This year will arguably be the biggest and most popular awards night since the supporters' club started up in 2013.
Another sellout night is approaching with club legends, current players, management and directors set to attend – not to mention the special guest speaker for the night, Tam Cowan, of BBC’s Off the Ball.
Mikey Mlotkiewicz from the Supporters Club said: “This one is going to be massive, 250 tickets sold out within two weeks. We have more than 10 former players coming along on the night, including Stewart Petrie, Ian Westwater, John Salton and Stevie Morrison.
Former Pars goalkeeper and club legend, Ian Westwater said: “I went along to the Lizzie Pars’ first Player of the Year dance in 2014 and it was a great night. This year’s will no doubt be extra special with a title winning party atmosphere!”
A new trophy will be introduced this year, ‘The Lizzie Pars Golden Boot’ sponsored by Kenny Mitchell, which will be awarded to DAFC’s top overall goal scorer for the 2015/16 campaign. Other awards on the night include the newly named ‘John Coupland Young Player of the Year’ (Sponsored by Kingdom FM) and ‘Alastair Eglington Player of the Year’ (Sponsored by Royal Bengal).
