Somerset Song from Faiss
Monday, 14th Mar 201626th goal of the season is "The best goal that I have ever scored for Dunfermline".
Faissal El Bakhtaoui scored two second half goals to ensure a 2-0 victory over Ayr United on Saturday. The 23 year old striker agreed that it was a fantastic win in what he acknowledged to be a big game.
"I don't think it was my best game but the goals mean that we lead the league by fourteen points. The manager said to the boys that everyone had to work hard because this game is a massive game and we needed a big win."
Faiss described his second goal as "the best goal that I have ever scored for Dunfermline".
"It was a great ball from Michael Paton. I didn't know who was there but when I turned i saw it in the top corner, it was unbelievable.
"My first goal came after I made a run, I got a great pass from Waldo (Ryan Wallace) and I just hit the ball into the corner. I wouldn't say that the league is ours yet, we need to keep working hard because every team in this league will work hard against us.
"It was a good physical game and a hard game as well. We had a great support and I hope that we have even more next week against Cowdenbeath.
His two goals against Ayr United takes Faissal's tally to 26 for the season but he revealed that he is nearing his target of 30:-
"I have seven games left I think I can do it. We pass the ball really good - Joe Cardle, Ryan Wallace, Michael Moffat and Michael Paton - and I enjoy it."
