DASC Shop reaches YET ANOTHER milestone
Wednesday, 24th Feb 2016The new DASC Supporters Shop run by Marvyn Stewart, and supported by generous Pars fans has reached another significant milestone.
A further sum of £5,000 was handed over to our club at half time during the last home match with Ayr United, which brings the total to a fantastic total of £35,000 to date.
Ross McArthur, Managing Director, DAFC stated “It is incredible to think that we have reached such a significant milestone, and this is yet another fantastic achievement. I would like to thank Marvyn, along with Ruth, Mac, Joan and Margaret as well as all of the Pars fans who have either donated to the shop, or bought merchandise. The new bigger shop now acts as a wonderful “hub” for supporters on both match day and during the week.”
Marvyn stated “It gave us great pleasure to hand over the cheque for £5,000 at the Ayr United game. We are so pleased with our new premises, and would like to thank everybody involved in making this possible. We are now in the process of preparing for a summer where we can cater for hot and cold food from Tuesdays to Saturdays, with all funds raised going straight to DAFC.
"Once again, thanks to all and remember this is a supporters hub and is open to ALL supporters, and it is of course, accessible to all disabled fans too.
In addition we need to thank the fans big time as the donations are still flooding in, with one of the latest coming from Bobby Forrest, a former player at DAFC. He donated a decanter and six glasses from the Premier League promotion season in 1986/87.”
