Charity Zip Wire Across East End Park
Friday, 22nd Apr 2016Two local charities The Pars Foundation and Dunfermline Advocacy will benefit from the first ever Charity Zip Wire across East End Park on Saturday 21st May.
The event hopes to raise thousands of pounds for the two charities based on Halbeath Road in Dunfermline.
“Can you imagine standing 163 metres up at the top of the Norrie McCathie Stand in East End Park then hurtling over 100 metres across the pitch!” exclaimed the Event Organiser, Elyse Kirkham.
“I think many of those interested in taking part will be Pars fans. Although I would stress that you don’t have to be a Pars fan or indeed be a football fan to enter. If anyone fancies taking the challenge they can go online now to
http://charityzipwireacrosseastendpark.eventbrite.co.uk to register and secure their place.”
Ross McArthur, DAFC Managing Director added:-
"I am sure the event will be a great success as well as good fun, and will benefit two fantastic charitable causes. Hopefully, all Pars Fans who take part might have a double celebration on their hands, come the middle of May!"
The Provost of Fife, Jim Leishman will also be there on the day to cheer everyone on. Jim says “Great event, great causes. Looking forward to it.”
