Everyone is hoping for a great atmosphere at East End Park on Friday night for the visit of Airdrieonians. Eddie Wolecki Black has taken over from Gary Bollan as their manager and Allan Johnston has had them watched to see if there have been any major changes to the way they play.
Dunfermline have gone 15 league matches without defeat and are keen to keep that going as well as getting back to winning ways after draws against Ross County and Peterhead and a cup exit at Dingwall.
In all their guises the Lanarkshire club have always been fairly close to Dunfermline, there have been 111 league games with Airdrie having 39 wins and the Pars 40.

In the first match this season George Hunter's 18th minute strike had the visitors 1-0 but Michael Moffat scored a 74th minute equaliser. Then in November the Fifers won the return at the Excelsior Stadium 2-0 with goals from Michael Moffat (7) and Shaun Byrne (54).
Of the last dozen meetings Dunfermline have won four, Airdrie five and three games have been drawn. Airdrieonians have proven to be a bit of a bogey team for Dunfermline especially in the latter half of the season. Of the last ten matches played after Christmas Dunfermline have won only one.
