Allan Johnston thought that it was a hard fought game.
"We probably had the better chances throughout the game but you need to take your chances. I don't think that it was a classic, I think the conditions played a big part - we know that we can still pass it better than that, especially in the second half.
"Even in the first half we had the better chances. Moffat had a couple of good chances and there were another couple of other ones that we have to score with. Peterhead had a couple of chances from outside the box but I don't think they threatened us at all in the second half, it was all one way traffic.
"We never had enough shots at goal. The two chances we had, their keeper has pulled off some good saves again. He seems to do that every time we play them."
Asked if he thought Andy Geggan had scored in the second half before Graeme Smith turned the header around his post, AJ continued:-
"That is what I am saying, a fraction either side of him he would never have got it. It was a great save and to be fair to him he has done that in the last couple of games as well against us. So glad to see the back of him."
The match only saw one yellow card to either side but the Pars gaffer agreed that it had been a tough match:-
"Obviously Ayr were up here a few weeks ago and got beat 3-0 so it was always going to be a tough game.. They are scoring a lot of goals but the big surprise was given the amount of goals that the two teams are scoring, it is typical that nobody couple make the breakthrough."
Did Allan Johnston feel that one point was sufficient to take from the match?
"No we are disappointed, we need to win games. It doesn't matter if it is Peterhead away we have to pick up points. If you want to win the league you need to come to a place like this and win.
"So we are all disappointed, we know how hard a place it is to come but we had more than enough chances to win it."
Asked to comment on Jim McInally's belief that Dunfermline cannot be caught, the gaffer predictably said:-
"We don't look at other teams anyway, we just have to concentrate on ourselves. We are not looking at other people's results, we will focus on our own results and make sure that we keep winning games then they will have to do well to catch us."
