Saturday’s match away to Peterhead is now arguably the biggest game of our season so far. Jim McInally’s team are on a fantastic run of form themselves, and have proved to be very strong opponents at Balmoor.
The trip up the A90 to Peterhead is a long trek, particularly on the Team Coach on the day of the match. However, our club is delighted to announce that the Pars Supporters' Trust have agreed to sponsor the cost of the playing and management team staying overnight at a hotel on Friday night, along with a pre match meal. The players will now travel up to Peterhead on Friday afternoon.
Margaret Ross, PST Chair and DAFC Director, highlighted:-
"The PST are delighted to show our support in this way, for the players and management team. The team has been a real pleasure to watch this season for all of our supporters and I am sure our members like to see their contributions assisting the playing side in this manner.
"The PST Board would like to thank all the members for their continued support, making this type of sponsorship possible. It really is amazing how much we are able to contribute to the Club just by our existing members renewing and by attracting new members. Membership costs just £20 per year".
DAFC Managing Director Ross McArthur said:-
"On behalf of the DAFC Board, I would like to thank the PST for their support of the team for this crucial match. The Manager feels that it is important for the players to have the best preparation possible, so I was delighted that Margaret and the rest of the PST Board agreed to help the club. As I have said many times, the continuing support of everyone in the Pars Family is so important at this time, but will never be taken for granted”
