Allan Johnston felt that his team should have scored more goals but nevertheless he was pleased to leave Forfar with three points that maintains the six point advantage over Ayr United.
"We had a lot of possession and chances but we made it difficult for ourselves by conceding a needless penalty. Obviously we lost a goal from a corner as well but overall we thoroughly deserved the win.
"We were pretty dominant and that was the only way that they looked as though they were going to score - from a setpiece or a penalty."
The manager was asked if he was concerned when Forfar had pulled it back to 3-2, he replied:-
"If you look at the players that we brought on - Ryan Wallace and David Hopkirk - you are bringing on a bit of quality and you saw that with the fourth goal. We are creating a lot of chances, our downfall is letting them in with a wee bit of slackness. Sometimes when you have a lot of possession sometimes that happens.
"It was great to see Faissal score two goals; the second one was a bit special, it was a cracker. They were all good goals today. I am really pleased but we know that we have to improve wee things at setpieces. That is our biggest danger over the last couple of games. That is the only way teams are going to score against us.
"The conditions were difficult at times but I thought the boys handled it really well. You could see sometimes the ball was running right through. The boys tried to pass it but it was difficult. They were absolutely freezing at the end, it wasn't ideal but it was good to get a few goals for the fans after travelling all this way up."
Joe Cardle seemed to thank them all personally in his goal celebration in the second half. The manager commented:-
"It was an unbelievable finish though. You talk about composure but that is what he and Faiss are capable of. They have scored a lot of goals in the first quarter and it is good to see them start this quarter on a high."
