“WE DID IT FOR NORRIE”
Important update for supporters
On Friday 15 January 2016, the Football Club and the Heritage Trust will host a not to be missed night at the Carnegie Hall in Dunfermline, for Pars fans to come together to remember Norrie, in the company of Norrie’s family.
Only 260 tickets are still available for the evening, so again we would urge any Pars supporters wishing to attend, to purchase their tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
Tickets are on sale from the DAFC shop, priced at £10. Wheelchair access is provided on the night, and only a very limited number of wheelchair tickets are remaining.
As highlighted, this will show a number of interviews we will have filmed with his former teammates, footage from Norrie’s playing career at DAFC, and will feature live Q&A sessions on stage with key people from Norrie’s time at our club.
Our Social Media presenter, Steven Mill will host the evening and we are delighted to announce that we have filmed video interviews with the likes of John Watson, Istvan Kozma, George O’Boyle, Andy Tod, Bert Paton, Dick Campbell, Jackie McNamara, Stuart Beedie, Bobby Robertson, Craig Robertson, David Moyes, Jocky Scott and Roy Woodrow along with supporters, staff and representatives of our club.
BBC Radio Scotland’s Brian McLaughlin will also interview live on stage Norrie’s brother Robert, Ian McCall, Jim Bowie, Ian Westwater, Stewart Petrie, Allan Moore, Andy Smith, Pip Yeates, Pat Stanton, John Robertson, Jim Leishman and Gregor Abel.
Former team mates of Norrie such as Andy Tod, Grant Jenkins, Grant Tierney, Ian Campbell, Davie Wilcox, Stevie Morrison, Ray Farningham, Bobby Forrest, Hamish French, Paul Smith, Rab Stewart and Paul Donnelly have confirmed their attendance. We are hoping that Neale Cooper, Davie Irons, Davie Young, Ross Jack, Ray Sharp, David Bingham, Stuart Rafferty, Martin Feeney, Andy Williamson and Willie Callaghan can either be contacted or manage along on the night.
It promises to be a fantastic night to pay tribute to a fantastic Pars captain and leader.
