“WE DID IT FOR NORRIE”
3rd December Launch
Be a proud owner of an iconic shirt
As part of the club’s commemoration for Norrie McCathie, we have commissioned a one off strip for the league match, against Cowdenbeath on 2 January 2016, replicating the last strip Norrie ever wore for our club in 1996 at Love Street, Paisley. It is the iconic blue and red quarter strip, and it will bear the number “4” on the back, which was of course Norrie’s number. The replica top will go on sale in the Purvis Suite from 5pm on Thursday 3rd December.
The top is priced at £40, but is only available in adult sizes. The print run would unfortunately not allow us to also include kids tops.
There is only a limited stock (just under 400) of replica jerseys that will be on sale, so it will be first come first served. Please note that only one jersey will be sold per person.
Each jersey will be sold with a unique numbered certificate of authenticity, with the names of the lucky recipients being logged for posterity, with the final list provided to Dunfermline Athletic Heritage Trust.
Tribute Night to Norrie at Carnegie Hall
On Friday 15th January 2016, the Football Club and the Heritage Trust will host a night at the Carnegie Hall in Dunfermline, for Pars fans to come together to remember Norrie. This will show a number of full length interviews we will have filmed with his former teammates, footage from Norrie’s playing career at DAFC, and will feature live Q&A sessions on stage with key people from Norrie’s time at our club.
The names of the people who have already confirmed that they will be appearing live on stage on the night are: Bert Paton; Dick Campbell; Jim Leishman; Allan Moore; Ian Westwater; and John Robertson.
Approximately 500 tickets are available for the evening, which will again be hugely popular, and will go on sale from 5pm on Thursday 3rd December, in the Purvis Suite at East End Park.
Tickets are priced at £10, with any proceeds from the evening going to Dunfermline Athletic Heritage Trust.
Wheelchair access is provided at the Carnegie Hall, and a limited number of wheelchair spaces plus helpers are available.
