Allan Johnston was pleased that his side won having scored "quality goals". The Pars manager was equally pleased to see Ryan Wallace come off the bench and make such a big impact with two goals within ten minutes of coming on. He considered that the side has still to show its best:-
"It just shows you the strength that we have on the bench. There is more to come, we are a young team and still learning. That is five clean sheets in the last seven league games as well.
"We are scoring a lot of goals and going in the right direction. We just have to make sure that we keep on putting on performances, scoring goals and obviously staying top of the league."
The manager conceded that Forfar had their share of possession either side of half time without really threatening.
"They had but we said to the boys to get up a bit higher, a bit tighter against them and play at the tempo we did at the start of the game. We started excellently and we did that again in the second half where I thought we totally dominated.
"Mickael (Antoine-Curier) scored last week after coming on as a sub, Ryan Wallace has scored a couple there so when you see the quality that we have even David Hopkirk starting on the right gets a goal. We have a lot of options, a lot of good players so everybody has to play well to get in the team.
"They have all scored goals and it is all about scoring goals and creating chances to keep your place in the team. Hopefully that will keep us pushing up and getting results."
Possibly the closest Forfar came to scoring was just before half time when Chris Templeman had two opportunities at the expense of Marc McAusland:-
"I don't think it was anything too dangerous. A couple of half chances but there wasn't any clear chances. One good save from some slack play but that happens sometimes but overall I think we could probably have scored a couple more, especially in the second half when I thought that we were excellent."
