Condolences to the Morris Family
Thursday, 1st Oct 2015Everyone at DAFC are extremely sad to hear of the untimely death of Pars fan and Patron Sandy Morris
Everyone at DAFC are extremely sad to hear of the untimely death of Sandy Morris on Wednesday 30th September, after a short illness. Unfortunately, Sandy had not managed to make it to East End Park this season, due to his failing health, but was certainly always there in spirit, as he has been for the 70 years that he supported our club. His wit and enthusiasm for life will be sorely missed around East End Park, particularly amongst his many friends in the Rennie Suite
Sandy not only supported the club emotionally, but helped in so many other ways over the years. He used to sell match programmes as a boy, and in later years his company, Landmark was the club's loyal shirt sponsors for 10 years. Sandy was also very proud to be a Pars Patron in our reformed club, and he was one of a few people who stepped forward in April 2013 to provide funds to BDO for working capital, in order to stave off the threat of our club being liquidated.
Everyone at DAFC would like to pass on our sincere condolences and best wishes to the Morris Family at this sad time. Sandy's funeral will take at Dunfermline Crematorium on Thursday 8 October at 2.45pm.
