Livingston left back, Jason Talbot has become the first player signed by Dunfermline in the Allan Johnston era. The 29 year old played 178 games for the West Lothian club since joining them seven years ago from Port Vale.
During his time at Livi Jason won the Third Division and Second Division titles in successive years. He started his senior career in 2003 with Bolton Wanderers and was loaned out to Derby County and Mansfield before joining the latter in 2005. The following year year he signed for Port Vale and made 47 appearances for the League One club before coming north in July 2008.
Jason joins on a one year deal in what he welcomes as a "new challenge".
