Eric Bakie

The Club is saddened to learn of the death of former player Eric Bakie.

Eric Johnston Bakie was a wing half who started off his career at Hutcheson Vale. He spent two years at Aberdeen before joining the Pars on a free transfer in the summer of 1951.

Eric was at East End Park for several seasons playing alongside Wille McSeveney before leaving for St Johnstone. From 1960 while employed as a civil servant, he played part time for Duns FC.

Our condolences go out to his daughter Elizabeth Paterson and family.
