With the exciting appointment of Allan Johnston as the club’s new manager today, he was happy to be pictured with a Centenary Club Lifeline board following the press conference. This coincided with the breaking of a record, and a significant one in terms of cash flow coming into his new club.
1,045 people are now signed up to The Centenary Club Lifeline, breaking the previous record of 1,040 set by the predecessor Centenary Club way back in 1989/90 season. At that time, having over a thousand members paying into the club each month came from an average home support of over 11,000 which makes today's achievement all the more impressive.
Jason Barber, the Centenary Club Chairman said:-
"I’d like to thank each and every single member of the Lifeline who has stuck by the scheme, which provides critical cash to the football club each and every month. We have a target of 1,200 retained memberships which is inching every closer, so please continue to help spread the word of this remarkable fund raising venture.
"Cash prizes continue to be handed out to winners drawn out of the pool, and with the recent launch of our exciting membership benefits package, this will hopefully see even more supporters signing up and backing The Lifeline.”
