Dick Campbell's side suffered a set back at Peterhead on Saturday but they still sit just one point off the top with second placed Morton away to top of the table Stranraer.

Earlier this season on 16th August Forfar inflicted a 2-0 defeat over the Pars in what was just the second match of the league campaign. The return at East End Park in October was a goalless draw after Gozie Ugwu missed an 85th minute penalty and the February fixture at Station Park was a 1-0 win for the Loons secured by a Stephen Husband strike.

Forfar Athletic's defeat at Balmoor on Saturday followed an impressive run of five successive wins. Dunfermline have had mixed fortunes of late. Their win in the last home match over Stranraer followed a heavy defeat to Morton. Stranraer are the only one of the top four clubs that the Pars have managed to defeat this season.
